A Blessed day

LBROWN PHOTOS

So  here are some more random work pictures I took today. Its funny, I have been at San Luis Creek many times but today seemed to be a little different than the day before..... There is  beauty in light and clouds that make awesome scenery.

But today at work it was mostly quiet. A few visitors pass through my booth, but not much else. I  miss the busy days when  work was non stop, but some times these quiet days are nice to. It does  give me a little time for contemplation on  what ever it is that is on my mind at the moment. Today I thought how blessed I am that I get to see such natural beauty everyday and appreciate the  little  beauties of this planet. I love our state parks because its the few places that are still left that you can take your whole family  to and spend the day enjoying some out door fun.Sadly our parks are dying because they are not getting the support they once had. People don't seem to understand that it costs money to keep them open. It is unfortunate that today's generation of kids are loosing the idea of what nature is and what blessing it is to have trees, hills lakes, wild life..... Many young people ( and older too) spend  all their free time in front of a screen, a phone, a computer.... that they miss what gifts lay await not so far from home. Yeah, even my kids  are the same way. If anything comes from this Job I have as a park aid is that I hope it opens my kids eyes to the beauty of outside....I want to be the person that  help wakes people up from their high tech sleep. because when you spend all day in front of a screen, your not really living.Life is about seeing, feeling, smelling, hearing, touching, all the sounds of this planet. As far as now goes, there is no app to replace the feeling you get when you are in a beautiful environment. There is peace that comes with nature.....it is not something you can put into any device.

Today also gave me time to think about my conversation I had on face book last night about gun control. LOL. I wont go into details about the debate I had, but  all I can say is it still surprises me at people and their need for violence. It is a blog for another day and I will be  doing that soon. Till then I  hope and pray people will come around about why they really need guns.... its time to be truly honest  people. But again, a story for another day....

Got to spend some time with the kids tonight before going back to their dads house. My daughter officially became a pig farmer today. LOL. She is in FAA and is going to be raising a pig.It is a big responsibility but its a good experience for her.My other daughter is still planning her people to people Costa Rica trip in the summer. I am proud of her too, but also very  nervous about it. My baby going  to another country? She is almost 17, but still , always my baby. Then there is my son.... silly little boy that still acts like a silly little boy. Got to keep him young as long as possible. It is so nice to see him laugh again. It took awhile after he broke his arm in September of last year, but he is coming around.  So blessed that today has been so good for them....They may not understand that it was a great day for them simply because they had opportunities  and progress on their plans in life....That, makes me smile!!!! God Bless
